Welcome to Review My Mixtape

I have always loved music, but only recently did I realize how amazing the Mixtape world is! Tha Carter IV was yet another victim of a delayed release date. In the wake of the delay Lil Wayne released the mixtape "Sorry 4 the Wait." Sorry 4 the Wait was one of the illist lyrical showings of 2011. Lil Wayne did is own version "Tunechi Back" on Rick Ross' "2 Pac Back" beat. Weezy did his own dope versions of "Gucci Gucci" and "My Last." Many people believe Tha Carter IV will receive less spins on their iPods than Sorry 4 the Wait. Sorry for the wait definately opened my eyes to the explosiveness of the world of mixtapes.

This is not a review for "Sorry 4 the Wait," (although that blog will be coming soon). This blog is just to let everyone know there is a new standard for reviewing mixtapes. Said standard is right here on my blog "Review My Mixtape."

Rappers should be tuned in to see how their music fairs against other artists, and fans should be observant to learn about new artists and find out which mixtapes deserve their limited listening time. I will breakdown lyrics, beats, and replay ability.

Artists you can send your samples to d3uc3swi1d@gmail.com. Please let me know your name, what city you rep., twitter/facebook, song titles, and album/mixtape name if applicable. I look forward to hearing your music and the flow of your favorite artists which I have not heard of, yet.

Novembers mixtapes will be first on the docket. The Summers Top 10, Novembers Top 10, and The Top 10 of 11' will also be making there way on my blog in the near future. I will also feature a new artist every month starting with January (which will be released sometime in December). I am currently looking for some finalists, so if you know (or are) an artist who deserves to be the January Feature Artist on the Review My Mixtape blog; send me an email (d3uc3swi1d@gmail.com). I am always looking for new artists, so I will open as many emails and comments as I can.

There is so much to say, and I will not be able to say it all in this blog. I look forward to sharing music with both fans and artists. I am new to blogging, but not new to writing or reviewing. I am looking for advice from you (the readers) on what you want to read, and what you want me to review.

For now, I am signing off. Look forward to "The Marathon Continues" by Nipsey Hussle, "1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time" by Ludacris, "T.R.U. Realigion" by 2 Chainz, "City of God: Gangsta Grillz" by Fred the Godson, "The Lord of the Rings" by OJ Da Juiceman, and "Billionaire Minds" by Birdman & Mack Maine just to name a few.
